Welcome to the website for Eco-Outpost, a non-profit corporation

History
: Eco-Outpost was incorporated in Kentucky in 2001, and was granted IRS non-profit status in that same year.

Purpose: Eco-Outpost was established to improve Eastern Kentucky through environmental education, recycling, wildlife enhancement, forest preservation, economic projects, social welfare projects, relief for those in need, preservation of historical locations, and related efforts. It also works on conservation issues in other areas.

Management:
Eco-Outpost is managed by  a three-person volunteer, uncompensated board.

Current Major Projects: A large part of the current resources by Eco-Outpost and its board are directed toward reducing timber piracy in Kentucky, including establishing a web-site, www.timbertheft.org, devoted to that subject. Click here to go to the timber theft website.

Projects:
A partial listing of other efforts by Eco-Outpost and by board members can be seen on the Other Projects page.
